This section will cover numerous topics related to this website and what you can do here. Some of the biggest components to this website are:

  • Registration
    • So we can keep it private and for residents only.
  • The community Blog.
    • This will be one of the primary ways that news, stories, and information is provided. Residents will have the ability to reply to a blog post, as well as create their own.
  • The Forum
    • The forum will be the place where all kinds of topics and discussions take place.
  • Donations
    • To maintain the front entrance we are going to rely upon the residents of this community to pitch in. This website will provide a way for donations to be given.
  • Publish Community events
    • Whether it is a community garage sale or a block party, we are going to maintain an events calendar so that residents can keep track of what’s going on in the neighborhood
  • Connecting with your neighbors
    • One of the features of this website is the ability to send any member/resident a private message.
  • Preferred vendors and contractors
    • We are going to publish an area where preferred vendors and/or contractors are listed. We are also planning to include an area where a vendor or contractor can pay to advertise, with all proceeds going towards the maintenance fund.
  • Neighbor helping neighbor
    • This initiative will provide a way for a neighbor in need to reach out to us so that we can leverage the help from within the community. Whether it is help moving a piece of furniture or replacing a few light bulbs, our residents will be able to ask for the help they need, and we will do everything we can to connect them with a neighbor who will help.
  • The public portion of the website
    • Certain sections of the website will be accessible to the general public.

Registration

Before doing anything else, you need to REGISTER. This website will have a public facing component. This means that certain content will be available to the general public. The reason for this is we want potential buyers to have access to these areas and the resources and content that we are going to provide . Hopefully these resources aid in making a buying decision in the neighborhood.

Registration also allows us to keep things private and it provides a certain level of security for our residents. For this reason, we hope that our residents register in order to enjoy your website! Registration will involve validating residency, and we will periodically ask to renew your registration, because we know that people move in and move out, so our goal is to keep our membership rolls current.

After You Register

Your registration will be reviewed. You will not be able to log in until it has been approved. The approval process may take some time, but we will get to it as quickly as possible. You can try to log in periodically. If you can log in, it has been approved.

Every effort is going to be made to keep the resident section of this website private and for residents only.

Keep an eye on your Spam folder or Junk folder, as any email sent from us may wind up there.

My Profile

During the registration process you will have the option to create your profile. You will be able to change and update your profile at any time. This will include options for placing a background image, a personal photo, and other information about yourself. You will also be able to message a member, add a friend, and see a listing of your friends. You will also see notifications and settings on your profile page.

Community Blog

Our community blog is where we will provide news and announcements. The blog will be interactive, which means that you will be able to comment. Additionally, you will be able to post an article or story to the blog which will be visible to all residents. The blog area is not the place for everyday banter. That is where the forum comes in.

Our Forum

Our forum is where the action is. Think of it like you think of your Facebook feed. This is where you can interact with each other, make a post about a topic, reply to a topic, and generally just share your thoughts. You will also have the option to SUBSCRIBE to any topic, and this will allow you to receive an email notification when someone leaves a comment. Explore the forum soon after you register and get familiar with it.

Donations

We have added a section to the website were residents came make a donation to help us keep the front entrance maintained. All of our receivables and expenses will be published, and every resident will be able to see exactly where their donations are being spent.

Events

We will maintain an events calendar for neighborhood events, such as garage sales, block parties, or our annual Turkey Trot or Christmas carolling. If you have something you would like to add to the community calendar as a reminder for the rest of us, please let us know.

Connecting with neighbors

One of the greatest benefits of this website is to give you a place to come and connect with other residents in our neighborhood. Checking in daily and seeing what the discussion is in our forum, or reading an article in our blog are a way for us to stay connected without having to rely on social media. This website has been made for you, and we hope that it becomes a thriving place that not only brings value but also enriches the experience of being a Meadows resident.

Neighbors helping neighbors

This section of the website is where neighbors in need can come to ask for help. We know that we have a growing elderly population in the neighborhood, and many of these folks do not have someone readily available to help them. In some cases, they don’t have family nearby. No matter what your situation, if you need help, submit a request and we will try to find someone in the neighborhood to lend a hand. We will be putting together a group of volunteers to help in this effort.

The Public portion of our website

Some content on this website will be available to the general public. We will publish content of interest to potential future Meadows residents. By making this content available to potential buyers, we hope that it brings value to a buyer and helps them in making a decision in their home purchase search. We love it here, and we hope that by putting our best foot forward, future residents will see why this is their best choice to call home. Specifically, we will point prospective buyers to this information to aid them in their decision to buy. Lists of school districts, utility companies, internet companies, Garage companies etc. etc. will be provided. This section is about the community putting its best foot forward and making a postive impression.
